Join us for our third annual Washoe-led, community-centered conversation about the Rights of Nature and the future of Da’aw’ ‘Tahoe’ — decolonizing stewardship by holding Indigenous Knowledges at the center of a collaborative process.
Working together are artists, scientists, storytellers, Washoe Basketmakers, Singers, and Knowledge Keepers – who are now designing Future Gardens and creating a process that prioritizes Indigenous leadership and the material, cultural, and spiritual plants of importance to the Wà:šiw People.
The event will include music, dance, stories, demonstrations and discussions as well as museum and garden tours.
