Get ready to dance — Music on the Beach is back with a full lineup of live performances for our 20th annual summer concert series! Kick off your 2026 weekends with free live music featuring a wide range of genres, all set against the stunning backdrop of North Lake Tahoe. Concerts happen every Friday evening at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area, with music beginning at 6:30pm.

Join us for an unforgettable summer filled with great tunes, cold drinks, delicious local food, and unbeatable sunset views — all with YOU! Enjoy craft beer from Alibi Ale Works, wine from Truckee River Winery, and a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Local food vendors will be serving from 6–9pm. Please note: no outside alcohol or pets are allowed. We can’t wait to spend Friday nights on the beach with you this summer!

We proudly continue to dedicate our Music on the Beach series to the beloved Pam Emmerich, whose passion and vision were instrumental in the creation and development of Music on the Beach as well as the growth and sustainability of North Tahoe. Let’s come together this season to keep Pam’s memory alive through what she loved most, MUSIC and COMMUNITY.

JUNE 19

Pacific Vibration is a premier independent reggae band led by prolific singer-songwriter Kerry Wing of Pacifica, California. Rooted in authentic reggae rhythms and elevated by soulful, expressive vocals, the band delivers conscious, uplifting music with lyrics aimed to make a positive change in the world.

The Gold Souls

JUNE 26

The Gold Souls bring mind-bending, soul-soothing, booty-shakin’ boogie music. The driving grooves of funk, rich textures of soul, and compelling storytelling of the blues converge in their unique sound. Captivating lyrics share modern tales while fresh arrangements push a classic feel forward.

Moody Cat

JULY 10

Moody Cat isn’t content to deliver standard funk, offering a dynamic musical journey with a striking balance of covers and originals. Elements of rock and jazz fold fluidly into the mix, creating an experimental sound that explores new sonic territory and keeps audiences engaged.

Sol Peligro

JULY 17

Sol Peligro is one of Northern California’s premier Latin bands, known for their high-energy performances and lasting impact. Three-time winners of the Sacramento Area Music Award for Best Latin Band, they are also members of the Sacramento Area Music Hall of Fame.

Wolf Jett

JULY 24

Wolf Jett will make you dance, sing, and maybe even howl. Their all-original songs are an upbeat celebration, blending folk, soul, and Americana into what they call Cosmic Mountain Music, with rich vocals, groovy rhythms, and layered instrumentation driving their sound.

Sneaky Creatures

AUGUST 21

Sneaky Creatures is a mischievous alt-gypsy swing septet from Kings Beach, blending rock, jazz, and dixieland funk into their unusual sound. Since 2011, this group of seasoned Tahoe musicians has been creating music that feels unique and original, yet strangely familiar.

Everyday Outlaw

AUGUST 28

Everyday Outlaw is a five-piece outlaw country band from Truckee, California, bringing vintage country spirit to the Lake Tahoe region. Blending twangy guitars, rich harmonies, and a dance-ready rhythm, they channel classic 1970s honky-tonk with a modern Sierra twist.

This Community Event is a FREE celebration. We have generous sponsors who help offset the cost of our events but your generous donation towards this beloved event is always appreciated.

Kings Beach State Recreation Area has paid parking next to the venue. Kings Beach also offers street parking and free public parking lots throughout the town. Please be mindful of our local businesses and neighborhoods.

California State Parks does not allow dogs on the Kings Beach State Recreation Area beach year-round.

Chairs or blankets for lounging on the beach, floats for enjoying music in the Lake, sunscreen, a hat, cash/card for food and drink, and your friends and family!

We sell Music on the Beach beer and wine drink tokens for $9 each. Purchase drink tokens for the whole concert series or just one event at the Music on the Beach booth located on the south side of the Kings Beach State Recreation Area restroom facility. We will be serving beer from Alibi Ale Works and wine from Truckee River Winery, in addition to non-alcoholic beverages. Please remember to bring ID.
