KINGS BEACH SNOWFEST PARADE

11:30am-12:30pm

One of North Lake Tahoe’s favorite winter traditions, the Kings Beach SNOWFEST Parade brings our amazing community together for a fun-filled celebration in downtown Kings Beach. With colorful floats, costumed crews, and live music from more than 30 local organizations and businesses, this is North Tahoe small-town magic at its best. Everyone is encouraged to spend the day in Kings Beach for Snowfest activities and events.

The small town, big time parade brings smiles and joy as it travels east on Highway 28 along the beautiful north shore of Lake Tahoe. The parade will start at Secline Street and end at Raccoon Street. The announcing stand and judges table will be next to the King Building near the Bear Street Roundabout.

Be advised that Hwy 28 will be closed from the intersection of Hwy 267 to Fox St. during the parade.

Announcing SNOWFEST Parade Grand Marshal, Joy Doyle

The Kings Beach District is honored to name Joy Doyle as the Grand Marshal of the 2026 Kings Beach SNOWFEST Parade.

Joy was selected in heartfelt recognition of her decades-long commitment to Kings Beach and North Lake Tahoe. Through her leadership, service, and genuine care for this place and its people, Joy has helped shape the community we know and love today. Her generosity of spirit, tireless advocacy, and deep roots in Kings Beach have left a lasting imprint—one felt by residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

For more than 35 years, Joy has shown up for this community with purpose and heart, and we are proud to celebrate her as the 2026 SNOWFEST Grand Marshal.

Joy and her husband Brian moved to North Lake Tahoe in 1990 and bought their Carnelian Bay home in 1991, where they raised their two children.

Over 35 years in the area, Joy has spent 24 years with local non-profits, deepening her love for the community and the people who call it home.

From 1990–2000, she was assistant director for Snowfest, the winter celebration that draws visitors and energizes residents. From 2000–2011, she served as Advertising Manager for Northstar-at-Tahoe during a major resort redevelopment, while raising her children.

From 2011–2019, Joy led the North Tahoe Business Association as executive director, guiding the Kings Beach Commercial Core Improvement Project and forming the Benefit Assessment District.
